The evening begins with the Moët & Chandon welcoming cocktail. The setting for the gastronomical performance will be the five-star hotel Bellevue Syrene 1820. A “four-handed” exhibition, open to the public but with a limited number of guests, during which the home chef, Ivan Ruocco, and Giovanni Gullace from Piemonte, chef of the Relais San Maurizio 1619 in Santo Stefano Belbo, create a high-level sensory itinerary.
For the occasion, the Pompeian terrace with its superb view of the Gulf of Naples will be prepared. Ivan Ruocco, whose cuisine is strongly inspired by the life-blood of the Sorrento coast and its sea, proposes an entrée whose name is quite evocative “Nella rete del pescatore”, in the fisherman’s net, a sort of puffed rice net with delicacies from the gulf.
Giovanni Gullace, promoter of a cuisine founded on the total respect of the raw materials, presents his “La via del sale”, the salt road, a dish in which creamy baccalà (salted codfish) and black truffle complement each other. The dinner carries on with three more courses where it will be possible to appreciate and learn more about the territorial suggestions of the two young chefs.
